🔍 Project Overview

Kiezpass is a multi-platform app designed to help users discover and redeem exclusive vouchers at local restaurants, cafés, and bars. Developed to support small businesses and encourage neighborhood exploration, the app allows users to claim location-based offers while giving vendors a simple way to manage their listings and campaigns.

I was responsible for the complete product lifecycle: from concept and UX design, through Flutter-based development and Firebase integration, to the store release and creation of a custom web-based CMS for partner management.

• Objective: Build a digital tool to strengthen the connection between locals and their neighborhood gastronomy scene

• Business Model: Partner-based voucher activation with monthly subscription options and promotional bundles for participating venues

🛠️ Technical Implementation

• Frontend:
  • Flutter app targeting Android, iOS, and Web with a unified codebase
  • State management using Provider and clean architecture structure
  • Custom UI elements based on Figma designs
• Backend:
  • Firebase Firestore for offer and voucher data
  • Firebase Auth for user login (email, anonymous)
  • Cloud Functions for logic (voucher limits, expiration handling, analytics logging)
  • Firebase Storage for partner assets (logos, images)
• CMS (Webflow + Firebase):
  • Webflow-based frontend with custom admin logic
  • Connected to Firebase for real-time updates and role-based permissions
  • Form-based input with live preview and status control

🚀 Release & Results

• Successfully launched on Google Play, Apple App Store, and Web
• Used by dozens of restaurants and cafés in Berlin during its pilot phase
• Positive user feedback on app simplicity, design, and purpose
• Partners praised the lightweight CMS and ease of voucher management
• Prepared foundation for scalable rollout to additional cities and districts
